George King Architects will head to Atlanta in September to take part in the annual Art on the Atlanta BeltLine event. GKA will be unveiling a large hanging installation entitled Holding Pattern that features 137 planes folded from sheet aluminium and arranged in a downward spiralling vortex. The planes will vary in size and the installation will be suspended from one of the underpasses along the BeltLine.
Art on the Atlanta BeltLine is the City of Atlanta’s largest temporary public art exhibition. It will begin with a lantern parade on September 10th and run through to mid November.
