Lasermaze debuts in Detroit underpass

George King Architects have completed an installation for the 2015 Detroit Design Festival made from over three miles of glowing UV string.
Situated in an underpass along the Dequindre Cut, a former railroad which has been converted to a walking path and greenway, Lasermaze is suspended from an industrial structure of steel scaffolding and chains. The three miles of string was carefully threaded through the structure over the course of a week, secured with over 3000 hand tied knots.
Lasermaze is a temporary installation located at the Dequindre Cut in Detroit until mid-October 2015. Click here for more information http://georgekingarchitects.com/projects/
