GKA win EFFIX Pavilion Contest

George King Architects are delighted to announce that their Shell Pavilion has won the EFFIX Pavilion International Contest. The competition called for the design of a small trading pavilion to be situated in the Seaside Park in the city of Varna, Bulgaria.
GKA’s entry takes the form of a pristine white shell, washed up on the shores of Varna. It consists of modular components that can be arranged in different ways to give the pavilion flexibility of use. It is formed entirely from the innovative i.design EFFIX material.
The competition was organised by Devnya Cement AD, the makers of EFFIX, and the Varna Design Forum and received 95 entries from 34 countries.
